Installation of Plastic Pyrolysis Plant in Vietnam

June 11, 2026

In mid-April 2026, Mingjie Group completed the installation and commissioning of the MJ-15 plastic pyrolysis plant in Vietnam. The plastic pyrolysis machine can process various types of waste plastics, including polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), and acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS). It primarily converts these materials into high-value-added products such as fuel oil, syngas, and carbon black through thermochemical processes.

After the Vietnamese customer received the pyrolysis equipment, Mingjie Group sent technicians to the customer's site for installation and commissioning. Below are photos of the MJ-15 plastic pyrolysis plant in Vietnam on-site.

Installation of Plastic Pyrolysis Plant in Vietnam

The installation of plastic pyrolysis plant directly determine the safety and oil yield of the plastic pyrolysis oil production line. Installation mainly includes the hoisting and fixing of the main equipment, the installation and sealing of process piping, airtightness and pressure testing, the installation of electrical and automatic control systems, and the installation of auxiliary and environmental protection systems.

1. Main Equipment Lifting and Fixing
The core components of the plastic pyrolysis plant include heavy equipment such as the pyrolysis reactor, horizontal gasifier, condenser, oil-gas separator, and oil storage tank. Specialized lifting equipment is used for stable lifting, avoiding collisions and tilting. The equipment angle is precisely adjusted, and the anchor bolts are securely fixed.

2. Process Piping Installation and Sealing
Piping installation is the core and crucial step in the installation of plastic pyrolysis equipment. It directly determines leakage prevention, backfire prevention, and oil-gas transport efficiency. Feed pipes, main oil-gas pipes, condenser pipes, return gas pipes, and drain pipes are arranged strictly according to the process flow direction.

3. Airtightness and Pressure Testing
The plastic pyrolysis system operates in a closed oil-gas environment. Therefore, an airtightness and pressure test must be conducted after installation.

4. Electrical and Automation System Installation
Combustible gases are generated during plastic pyrolysis. Therefore, the electrical system must be constructed strictly according to explosion-proof standards. The PLC control system interfaces with each equipment point to achieve automatic control of temperature, pressure, speed, feed rate, and cooling flow.

5. Installation of Auxiliary and Environmental Protection Systems
This mainly includes the installation of a circulating cooling system, a gas recycling system, an exhaust gas purification system, and a dust removal system.
